The role of women in making knowledge democratic and accessible to everyone

On September 21st, 10th-grade students attended the virtual conference «The role of women in making knowledge democratic and accessible to everyone», in which Laura Borda (MA in Gender Studies) explained how women have historically been working to make their thinking visible in fields such as science and literature. Students also had the opportunity to learn and reflect on how some issues have a cross-cutting impact on the development of their thinking skills, and how they are connected to the literary texts that they are currently studying. Students had the opportunity to ask some questions based on some resources that were previously shared by Laura to be studied in class, as well as, the information that was presented along with the talk. Finally, students were invited to be aware of the advantages they have in accessing education and to reflect upon the responsibility they have to make knowledge the best way to build a better future for themselves.
