• Today we celebrate Mari Riaño, an MYP student whose dedication truly shines.
  This weekend, she ran her first 5K in a tri-fest and finished first in the 7–17 category, a powerful reminder of her strength, discipline, and growing passion for triathlons and endurance sports.
  She even met Colombia’s triathlon champions, turning this achievement into an unforgettable and inspiring moment.

• At Gimnasio Los Portales, talent is not only nurtured — it shines beyond our classrooms.
  Today, we celebrate three extraordinary teachers whose work inspires our entire community.”
• First, our Literature teacher, Mateo Vivas. Mateo has been accepted to present his independent literary research at an international poetry congress in Alcalá de Henares, Spain, this December 10th. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and thrilled to support his participation on the global stage.”
• We also celebrate Juan Sebastián Leyva, our STEAM and Computer Science teacher, whose academic work was recently published in EDUPIJ Journal. His article explores the integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence with 3D immersive environments in competency-based higher education — a contribution that positions Portales at the forefront of innovation.”
• And finally, our Mathematics teacher, Sebastián Manrique, who will take on the leading role in the 2025 ballet production of Beauty and the Beast at the Teatro William Shakespeare in Bogotá. His artistic talent reminds us that excellence has many forms.”
